About
I created my first web site in 1998 when my family was involved in a battle with a real estate developer. I taught myself basic html and put a few web pages on some free space that came with my email ID.
I spent the next six years as the administrator and webmaster of a small, busy youth theatre guild and created the first web site for that organization. Within a couple of years, the site was attracting about 70,000 hits a month with visitors from around the world.
In an effort to expand my skills in an organized fashion, I enrolled in the Internet Professional program at Washtenaw Community College. I have earned the basic web development certificate and am very close to completing advanced certificates in graphic design and web applications. More on going back to school, etc.
I enjoy working with all aspects of website design. Ursa Major focuses on simple, usable sites for small customers at affordable rates.
